Federal government is focusing its efforts on “renewables”, above all, biogas.

In an official statement, the German federal government announced its intention to cover energy needs to the greatest extent possible with renewable energies. This goal is not only for ecological reasons, but also on account of economic considerations.

On the fringe, Parliamentary State Secretary Julia Klöckner stated that the federal government would focus its efforts on biogas and wanted to improve the conditions for the direct feed-in to the natural gas system. BEKON is one of the pioneers in this area and has been feeding gas directly into the natural gas system with its plant in Hille/Pohlsche Heide since 2009.
